Is anyone else feeling zero progress lately? My architecture projects all seem to be on hold for one reason or another. My mentor is reviewing changes to Soul Splinter, so no progress there. I'm holding strong on my No-Query Pact, so no querying (is that progress or not?) Worst of all, I did *something* to my knee at soccer on Sunday and, after xrays Monday, am not allowed to do anything until I see the Physical Therapist next week. Plus the weather is so yucky I don't even want to go outside.

Oh, gosh.. me too! (Even blogged about being a bear recently :) I am with you on the ZERO progress. I just tell myself things are cyclical and they will turn around soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your knee!
Not at the moment, but I've definitely been there. Right around the time I took a query break, now that I think about it...
ReplyDelete*gives Amy hug* *send virtual cake*
I've got myself into some kind of a funk...I'm struggling to do anything creative right now. Maybe I should just read for a while...
ReplyDeleteHope you get your reviews back soon, so you can start revisions...
(((HUG)))
Your just in a holding pattern, and that's different then stymied. Soon as the weather clears and the airport opens up, you'll be on your way again. :)
ReplyDeleteI could go for the hibernation thing. :o)
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm feeling rather productive right now, but I went through a slump a few months back. You have my complete sympathy.
Maybe you could work on book #2? Or a few short stories? Write a song or something?
I'd say paint a room (which is what I tend to do when my brain quits), but I don't recommend that with a bad knee. Feel better!
I feel the same way, minus the knee.
ReplyDeleteNO QUERY!!!
I worked on my query blurb for my editor (for my option book), though. That was a tough 2 hours.
Corey, it's nice to have company in the 'no progress lane', and I'm sure you're right about the cyclical thing.
ReplyDelete[gobbles up cake] Thanks Miriam! Coconut is my favorite!
Sharon, sorry about your funk! I get those too. Sometimes I don't even want to read! Hope it lifts soon. {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteDL, that is a *great* analogy! I expect it's a weather delay! ;)
Liana, I've tried to work on book two but I can't get into it, knowing revisions for Soul Splinter could arrive soon. I'm being kind of spoiled actually. I should just do it.
ReplyDeleteSteph, is your option book done? It's crazy how long it takes to write a short blurb!
I'm hoping she likes one of my other manuscripts. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too!
ReplyDeletethats funny...I read the line "I wish I was a bear" as "I wish I had a beer".
ReplyDeleteand I don't drink. hahahaha...yes, I can sympathize. I'm moving way too slow on my work lately. just having a hard time getting fired up, I guess.
ha! Tess you know me too well. :)
