All the possibilities, all the planning, all the LISTS!! There is nothing in the world I love so much as a list! (Well, maybe a cupcake, but it would have to be a coconut cupcake with cream filling, decorated to look like a bunny rabbit. Yeah, like that up there).
Right now, I'm making lists for my trip to New Bern, NC in February. Is it a good place to retire? I'll let you know. I'll fly into Raleigh and then drive down with three of my bff's from high school. We haven't seen each other in ... yeah, like I'm going to tell you that. Suffice to say, it's been a looong time and I can't wait to see them!
In writing news...
1. I've entered a "No Query Pact" with my friend Stephanie Blake, phlebotomist and writer. We decided we're going to write hard for six months -- no queries, no submittals, no distractions. Just writing.
2. If you're in the Boise area, be sure to stop by Rediscovered Bookshop tonight from 6:30-7:30 for the first of our new 'monthly SCBWI meetings'. We'll have speakers, snacks and wonderful writer peeps!

Amy...You've got a hundred followers. (yay!)
ReplyDeleteI'm a list lover too...
Happy New Year!
Now I'm craving coconut! Yummy, yummy bunnies...
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a wonderful 2011. Hope your pact proves inspiring and productive.
Sharon, a hundred and ONE now! Woo hoo! :)
ReplyDeleteLaural, I'm looking forward to the pact. Already, I've had to stop myself from subbing to an agent someone told me about. And instead of feeling hamstrung, I felt relieved. Have a great new year!
Have a great trip!!! I love making lists too... and cupcakes for that matter. :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! See you when you get back.
Thanks Jackee! What's not to like about cupcakes, eh!??
ReplyDeleteWaaah! I wanna come to the meeting! *gazes yearningly towards Boise*
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your query hiatus! I intentionally stopped querying this fall to give myself a break. I think that and Nano really helped clean out the clogs and get me back in writer mode. (But now I'm starting up again. Woe..)
